Summerlicious Inner Jazz Elixir – my version

Last Summer, I finally had a chance to visit my lovely daughter in Montreal, where she lives. I fell in love with the city and its culture, bistros, cafes, shops etc. One evening, she invited me to Crudessence, a place, where living foods are served to nourish and renew the body. Living foods are very rich in nutrients and enzymes and well-known to revitalize and alkalinize the body, making it healthier and more energetic. It was a feast for my palate and eyes. I left Montreal with an amazing recipe book in my bag, written by the culinary team of Crudessence.

I have tried few recipes, but the Inner Jazz elixir/smoothie (my version) is one of my favorites and I couldn’t resist to share the recipe with you. It’s deliciously refreshing and incredibly healthyInner_Jazz_Elixir

Inner Jazz elixir (my version)

2 tsp spirulina
1 banana
1 cup pineapple pieces
1/2 cup mango pieces
2 cups filtered water (depending how thick you want to have the smoothie)
1/2 tsp chopped ginger
1 fresh mint sprig to garnish

Combine all the ingredients and blend it (in a blender of course). If you would like to have it chilled, use frozen fruit.
